The short version. Papayra is provided as is. PDF editing is not a perfect science, and errors can happen. Check every document you edit before you rely on it, especially mission-critical documents. Inherita Legacy, Inc. is not liable for damages that come from using Papayra.
Who we are
Papayra for Mac and Papayra for iPhone and iPad (together, “Papayra” or “the software”) are made by Inherita Legacy, Inc. (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the software and to this website. By using Papayra you agree to them.
Your licence
When you buy Papayra on the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, and these terms add to it. When you get Papayra directly from us, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on the devices you own or control. You may not resell, rent or redistribute the software.
Buying and the yearly plan
Papayra is sold two ways: bought once, a one-time purchase that does not renew; or as a yearly plan that starts with 30 days free and then renews every year at the price shown when you started it, until you cancel.
- On the App Store, Apple takes the payment. The yearly plan renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you manage or cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Restore Purchase in Papayra’s Settings brings a purchase or a plan back on another device.
- From papayra.com, the payment page states the price, the renewal and how to cancel before you pay, and your licence key arrives by e-mail. A yearly key carries its renewal date; a key bought once does not expire.
- If a yearly plan ends, Papayra still opens, reads and prints your documents, and your documents are never changed or deleted.
PDF editing is not a perfect science
PDF files are produced by thousands of different programs in thousands of different ways. Editing, redacting, converting or exporting a PDF can produce errors: text may move, wrap differently or be set in a different font; content may change, appear twice, or be lost; an export may not match the original exactly.
We have tested over 10,000 documents and millions of edits and believe this software has error rates similar to other commercial PDF editors. That is not a promise that any particular document will be edited without error.
Verify every document
You are responsible for checking every document you edit, redact, fill, sign, convert or export with Papayra before you rely on it, send it, sign it or file it. This matters most for mission-critical documents, such as contracts, court filings, and financial, medical and legal records.
- Read the edited pages in full before you send or file them.
- After a redaction, open the saved file and confirm the redacted words cannot be selected, searched or copied.
- Keep a copy of the original document until you have checked the result.
Provided as is
The software and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the software will be free of errors or that it will meet every need.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Inherita Legacy, Inc. and its officers, employees and suppliers are not liable for any damages of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive, including loss of data, documents, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, that arise from the use of, or the inability to use, the software, or from any error in a document it opened, edited or produced, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software. Some places do not allow certain warranties or damages to be excluded; in those places, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows.
Your documents
Your documents are yours. Papayra opens, edits and saves them on your device, and never sends them to us. See our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
